About

Hi, my name is Lisa.  You can probably see why I call myself   “The Pink Gourmet”.  I love the color pink.  I guess I should tell you I am an Elementary Special Education Teacher, which explains the Hearts on top of my head. I have loved cooking  since I was little.  I used to stay in the kitchen while my mom and grandma were cooking.  I learned so much from them.  I am not an expert but love the challenge of cooking.  For me cooking  is like therapy.   I like to try new recipes.  Since I have been on Pinterest  I have pinned lots of recipes and decided that I would try the ones I pin and then tell you what I think about them. I will also blog about other recipes not found on Pinterest including family recipes and recipes from other sources.   I am  going to give the recipes I try a rating using hearts.  I hope you will enjoy this blog and would love to hear any comments or feedback.  I also hope you will try some of the recipes on this blog.  Bon Appetit!!!!

  • I am looking forward to seeing some of the recipes you try, trying them myself, and possibly sharing some of mine with you to see what you think!!

  • Let us know more about cooking being therapeutic. After school I need to relax a little and, so far, cooking has just stressed me out more, so please share your secrets.

  • Hi Lisa, This is a fabulous idea, do you want feedback or recipes or readers? I am a reviewer and nite owl, 🙂 so let me know! btw: this is a great way to try and swap food ideas and recipes!

  • So glad you are doing this. It looks like you may have some healthy recipes I can try. I’m looking forward to cooking some new recipes!

  • Hi, I really enjoy your blog and have nominated you for the “Inspiring Blog Award” There are a few rules to this nomination (these aren’t my rules, so do what you want…no pressure) you need to give a shout out to me, of course, tell us 7 things about yourself, true or otherwise, and then nominate 15 bloggers, that’s the tricky part, if you don’t have 15, don’t sweat it, just pass it on to someone….share the joy by following this link, http://my-sweet-addiction.com/2012/08/13/ramblings-about-candy-and-baking-can-be-inspiring-2/ …….and good work!

  • Your blog is lovely. It’s nice that you post many pictures with your recipes; it entices viewers to try your recipes right away. 🙂 Also, my favorite color is bright pink. I guess that makes us “pink” sisters. LOL

    • POET KAYLYNTE, Thank you very much for the niece compliment! I know when am trying a new recipe I would like to see more pictures of what it should look like as I go along. I think we are definitely “pink” sisters. 🙂

  • I tried the Firecracker Chicken !! It was soooo good !! I’ll definitely be making some more later .
Thanks for the recipe and I look forward to trying others ! I have already passed your blog on to my friend who lives in Austin .

    Thanks again ,
    J.Louis
